Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cabo (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Cabo is operated by the Cabo team (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and collaborators who access the Service.
Account Responsibilities
To use Cabo, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported OAuth provider (currently Google). You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately at hello@getcabo.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their consent.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Cabo only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
- Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other users’ accounts or trips.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the Service without our written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications to other users.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines at our sole discretion.
User-Generated Content
Cabo allows you to create trips, write itinerary notes, send chat messages, place map annotations, and vote in polls. All content you create (“User Content”) remains yours.
By submitting User Content, you grant Cabo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely to the extent necessary to operate and improve the Service. We will not sell your User Content to third parties.
You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit. You represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to submit it and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The Cabo brand, logo, product name, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Service are and remain the exclusive property of Cabo and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Cabo includes an AI trip assistant powered by Anthropic’s Claude API. AI-generated suggestions — including itinerary recommendations, stop ideas, activity descriptions, and timing estimates — are generated automatically and are provided for informational and planning purposes only.
AI suggestions are not guarantees. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, suitability, or availability of any AI-generated content. You should independently verify critical travel information (visa requirements, opening hours, prices, safety conditions) before making travel decisions based on AI output.
Cabo is not liable for any loss or inconvenience arising from reliance on AI-generated suggestions.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., destination guides, booking platforms). These links are provided for convenience only. Cabo has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites.
Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cabo and its team members, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
- Any AI-generated content or trip suggestions.
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.
- Any travel decisions made based on content within the Service.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by contacting hello@getcabo.app.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Sections covering intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with Cabo, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@getcabo.app so we can try to resolve it informally.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.
